Crime scene cleanup covers the biohazard remediation needed after any criminal incident involving blood or bodily fluids – assaults, break-ins gone wrong, or any scene law enforcement has processed and released. The work requires biohazard certification, careful documentation, and coordination with property owners or law enforcement as needed.
We're called by property owners, business managers, and families in Saint Louis, MO after any crime scene that's left behind contamination – this covers a wide range of incidents beyond just homicide, including assaults, stabbings, and other violent crimes where injury occurred. Our job starts once the investigation is complete and the scene has been officially released.
We assess the scene fully before starting, since crime scene contamination isn't always where it first appears – blood can travel further than expected depending on what occurred. We contain the space, remove all contaminated material following biohazard protocols, and dispose of it properly. Surfaces that can be saved get treated with hospital-grade disinfectants, and we handle odor treatment as part of the full restoration. Throughout the process, we document our work, which can be useful for insurance claims or your own records.
Cost depends on the size and severity of the scene, along with how much material needs to be removed versus treated in place.
